Agenda Item Brief: Committee appointment

Background: There are currently two vacancies on the committee. Mr. V.K. Raman and Mr. Hentjie Apag have applied to serve on the committee. Both men have experience working with the disabled community. A subcommittee of the Advisory Committee for the Disabled interviewed both applicants and made a recommendation of appointment to Mayor Martini. The Mayor concurs with the committee’s recommendation. The City Council must confirm these appointments which are for a two-year period, expiring September 30, 2013.
