Recommendation: I move to accept the $1,000 donation to Partners in Parks and Recreation from Sierra Chemical Company.

Agenda Item Brief: Acceptance of this donation to Partners in Parks and Recreation will assist in supporting services and programs provided by the Parks and Recreation Department.

Background: The Partners in Parks and Recreation program was implemented in 2008 to encourage donations and/or volunteer support from individuals, businesses and service organizations to help develop and maintain parks and recreation facilities and programs. Donors receive special recognition throughout the year, including acknowledgement on the city’s Web site and in the Parks and Recreation seasonal activity guides.

Alternatives: The Council may elect not to accept this donation.
