Title: Consideration and possible approval to change the title of the System Developer series to System Analyst and the salary range of the Treatment Plant Manager in the Management, Professional, and Technical Resolution.

Recommendation: The City Council approve the title change of System Developer I, II and Senior to System Analyst I, II and Senior and the Reclassification of Salary Range for the Treatment Plant Manager in the Management, Professional, and Technical Resolution, Appendix A.

Agenda Item Brief: In conjunction with the proposed complement addition at the Police Department and Salary Reclassification in the Community Services Department, the Mid-management, Professional, and Technical Resolution must be amended to change the title of the System Developer series and the salary range for the TMWRF Treatment Plant Manager.

Background: This is a request to approve the title change of Systems Developer I, II and Senior to Systems Analyst I, II and Senior, and a Reclassification of the salary range for the TMWRF Treatment Plant Manager position in the Management, Professional, and Technical Resolution.

Analysis: By making the changes proposed, there is no alteration in the language in the current Agreement, but will require changes to "Appendix A – Management Job Class and Salary Wage Ranges" as follows: Job Title changes: System Developer I to System Analyst I System Developer II to System Analyst II System Developer Senior to System Analyst Senior Reclassification of Salary Range TMWRF Treatment Plant Manager to TMWRF Treatment Plant Manager $78,229 - $111,966 to $105,560 - $135,034 Attached is the updated Appendix A – Management Job Class and Salary Wage Ranges.

Alternatives: 1. The City Council may approve to change the title of System Developer I, II and Senior to System Analyst I, II and Senior and the Reclassification of the salary range for the Treatment Plant Manager position in the Management, Professional, and Technical Resolution as presented by staff. 2. The City Council may not approve to change the title of System Developer I, II and Senior to System Analyst I, II and Senior and the Reclassification of the salary range for the Treatment Plant Manager position in the Management, Professional, and Technical Resolution as presented by staff. 3. The City Council may not approve to change the title of System Developer I, II and Senior to System Analyst I, II and Senior and the Reclassification of the salary range for the Treatment Plant Manager position in the Management, Professional, and Technical Resolution as presented by staff, and may provide other direction to the City Manager.

Recommended Motion: I move to approve the change the title of System Developer I, II and Senior to System Analyst I, II and Senior and the Reclassification of the salary range for the position of Treatment Plant Manager in the Management, Professional, and Technical Resolution.
