Agenda Item Brief:

Committee appointment.

Background:

The Enterprise Fund Advisory Committee (EFAC) reviews the operations, policies, procedures and financial status of the Development Services Enterprise Fund and can provide recommendations to the Sparks City Council with respect to proposed code amendments, fees for development services and impact fee rates associated with Impact Fee Service Area #1.

Analysis:

The City of Sparks has one vacancy on the EFAC for a residential construction industry member for a partial four-year term.  An announcement of the vacancy to the committee was made and three (3) applications were received.

Mayor Smith has reviewed the applications and chosen to reappoint Ted Erkin as the residential construction industry candidate for a partial four-year term: March 9, 2020 -  December 31, 2023.  There are no term limits outlined in either Resolution No. 3057 or NRS 354.59893(2).

Alternatives:

1.  Council may approve the appointment.

2.  Council may reject the appointment and provide further direction to the Mayor or the City Manager.

Recommended Motion:

I move to confirm the Mayor's reappointment of Ted Erkin to the Enterprise Fund Advisory Committee for a partial four year term of March 9, 2020 - December 31, 2023.
