The project involves the complete replacement and rehabilitation of curb, gutter, sidewalk, driveway approaches, and asphalt on East J Street from Stanford Way to Probasco Way and on East H Street from Stanford Way to Probasco Way. The existing curb and gutter infrastructure has deteriorated over time and does not function as designed as flow of storm water runoff is restricted. Because the curb and gutter will be completely removed and replaced, the adjacent sidewalk will also be replaced.

In lieu of only patching the pavement surface adjacent to the new curb and gutter, the complete street surface will be rehabilitated. This project is identified within the fiscal year 2020 CIP.

The project advertised on November 27, 2019. The City of Sparks received seven (7) qualified bids for this project. Bids were received December 10, 2019 at 1:45pm and opened at 2:00pm.
