Agenda Item Brief:

DFAltmann/First Tee Development paid impact fees at 961 Marble Hills Circle twice. This item proposes to refund duplicate charges.

Background:

DF Altmann / First Tee Development, LLC applied for permit SBLD16-23252 to construct a new single family residence at 961 Marble Hills Circle and was assessed the standard impact and connection fees. After issuance of the new permit, it was determined that the Impact Fees for Service Area #1, the residential construction tax and the sewer connection had been previously paid at this address under permit #A0503392 in 2005.

Analysis:

Reference Sparks Municipal Code section 15.05.107.7.1 - Refund of permit fees.The City Council may authorize the refunding of any fee paid hereunder which was erroneously paid or collected.

Alternatives:

City Council could deny the refund and provide direction.

Recommended Motion:

I move to approve a refund to First Tee Development in the amount of $8,386.07.
