Agenda Item Brief:

Public Works is requesting approval to purchase seventy traffic signal controllers and modifications to eighty traffic signal cabinets from Intermountain Traffic in the amount of $279,400.



Background:

Staff is requesting approval to purchase seventy Trafficware 980ATC TS-2 Type 2 signal controller, and to pay for modifications to be performed to eighty of our existing traffic signal cabinets to allow them to accept the new controller configuration.



Analysis:

NRS Chapter 332.115(g) exempts computer items from competitive bid. Intermountain Traffic is the supplier for the controllers that have been specified for our system, and are utilized by all neighboring agencies.

None.



Recommended Motion:

I move to approve the purchase of seventy traffic signal controllers and modifications to eighty traffic signal cabinets for Intermountain Traffic in the amount of $279,400.
