This agenda item is presented following the presentation, discussion and possible approval of a city reorganization plan recommending complement changes in the City Attorney's Office.  Amendments to the Assistant, Senior and Chief Assistant City Attorney Resolution., Appendix A are recommended to implement the reorganization proposed by staff.

Job Classification Title and Salary Wage Ranges to be added to Appendix A:

Title:  Assistant City Attorney I-Civil

Pay Range: $81,952 - $109,949

Title:  Assistant City Attorney II-Civil

Pay Range: $82,347- $116,979

Title:  Assistant City Attorney Senior-Civil 

Pay Range $87,922 -$124,509

Job Classification Salary Wage Ranges to be adjusted in the Appendix A:

Title: Chief Assistant City Attorney

Pay Range:  $96,429 - $136,614

1.  The City Council may approve the Appendix A title and salary range additions and salary range adjustment as presented by staff.

2.  The City Council may not approve Appendix A title and salary range additions and salary range adjustment as presented by staff.

3.  The City Council may not approve Appendix A title and salary range additions and salary range adjustment, but provide direction or alternatives to the City Manager.

I move to approve Amendment No. 1 to Appendix A of the Assistant, Senior and Chief Assistant City Attorney Resolution (R3282)including the title and salary range additions, and the salary range adjustment.
