Background:

Announcement of a vacancy on the Parks and Recreation Commission was made at several council meetings in the fall of 2014.

PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION – FILL TERM ENDING 06.30.2015

The City of Sparks has one appointment to the Parks and Recreation Commission, which recommends improvements to the city’s parks and playgrounds and the implementation of beneficial parks and recreation programs to the City Council. There is currently one vacancy for a term which ends June 30, 2015. The complete pool of applicants being considered, in alphabetical order are: James Danen, David Espinosa, Michael Holmes, Raymond Joakimson, Sr., Cody Loder, Colleen Marran, Andrea Tavener and Mark Oleson.

Mayor Martini has recommended that Andrea Tavener be appointed to the Parks and Recreation Commission, for a term that expires on June 30, 2015.
