Community Services and Human Resources recommend the title in the Fleet & Facilities Division of the Community Services Department be changed from Mechanic Lead to Crew Supervisor. This change will result in no financial impact because these are title changes only.
Background:
The position of Mechanic Lead performs the same responsibilities and essential job functions as the Fleet & Facilities Crew Supervisor position. For consistency in the titles within the Fleet & Facilities Division, the staff recommends the change from Mechanic Lead to Crew Supervisor. This change will better represent the actual duties being performed by the staff.

3. The City Council may choose not to approve classifications and personnel complement changes, but may provide other direction to City staff.
Recommended Motion:
I move to approve a title change in the Fleet & Facilities Division of the Community Services Department from Mechanic Lead to Crew Supervisor; and approve the appropriate classifications and personnel complement changes.
