Financial Impact: $73,416 in Capital Projects Fund 1401. $130,000 was approved and remains in 1401 Pavement Management Program – Alley/Parking/Pathway Rehabilitation. This Projects budget of $73,416 will be charged to Program #14-0505, Account #603190.

Agenda Item Brief: Consideration and possible award of the Municipal Courthouse Parking Lot Rehabilitation to Kustom Koatings, in the amount of $73,416. Staff recommends Council award the contract.
Background: The Municipal Courthouse parking lot is an asset included in the City’s Transportation System - Pavement Management Program. Utilizing the City’s Pavement Management System, the parking lot at the Municipal Court was identified for rehabilitation.
Analysis: The project scope includes the replacement of the asphalt parking lot at the Municipal Courthouse located at 15th and “C” Streets. The City of Sparks received five (5) qualified bids for this project. A summary of the qualified bids presented in Table 1 (attached).
Alternatives:
1. City Council could award the project as outlined by Staff.
2. City Council could reject the proposed project and provide direction to the City Manager.
Recommended Motion: I move to award the Municipal Courthouse Parking Lot Rehabilitation Project to Kustom Koatings, in the amount of $73,416.
