Title: Consideration and possible approval of an application for a Gaming License for TA Operating Nevada, LLC dba Alamo Travel Center located at 1950 E. Greg Street, Sparks, Nevada by Mr. Lowell Chichester

Recommendation: That Council approve Mr. Lowell Francis Chichester’s application for a Gaming license contingent upon the location being inspected and approved by every city, county, district, and state agency having jurisdiction over the matter and upon fingerprints being returned from the FBI/CJIS that do not reflect any disqualifying arrests/convictions.

Financial Impact: $30.00 x 117 = $3510 quarterly, there will be 117 slot coin operated machines (69 penny slots, 3 quarter slots, 1 $1.00 slot, 44 multi-denominational slots. $105 x 4 table games = $420 quarterly, $75 x 1 = $75 quarterly poker Texas Hold ‘em Table

Background:

Mr. Chichester is applying for a Gaming License for TA Operating Nevada LLC, DBA Alamo Travel Center, located at 1950 E. Greg St., Sparks, Nevada 89431. Mr. Chichester is currently the Vice President of Gaming and has been employed at the Alamo Travel Center since 1989. Mr. Chichester has resided at the 5026 Pleasant View Dr., Sparks, NV since 2014 and resided in Reno, NV at 940 Cloud View Circle for 3 years.

Analysis:

Mr. Chichester has complied with all existing ordinances and requirements.

Alternatives:

1. Council may approve the application as recommended

2. Council may deny the appication and provide direction to the City Manager.

Recommended Motion:

I move to approve Mr. Lowell Francis Chichester’s application for a Gaming license for TA Operating Nevada LLC, DBA Alamo Travel Center, located at 1950 E. Greg St., Sparks, Nevada contingent upon the location being inspected and approved by every city, county, district, and state agency having jurisdiction over the matter and upon fingerprints being returned from the FBI that do not reflect any disqualifying arrests/convictions.
