Recommendation: Council approve Sean Timothy Higgins’ application for a Gaming license contingent upon the location being inspected and approved by every city, county, district, and state agency having jurisdiction over the matter and upon fingerprints being returned from the FBI/CJIS that do not reflect any disqualifying arrests/convictions.

Financial Impact: $120.00 x 4 = $480.00 annually. There will be four coin operated machines.

Background:

Mr. Higgins is applying for a Gaming license for Sartini Gaming LLC dba 7-Eleven Store #20272D, located at 1620 EL Rancho Drive, Sparks, Nevada 89431. Mr. Higgins has been the Executive Vice President Government Affairs of Golden Entertainment Incorporation since April of 2016.

Analysis:

Mr. Higgins has complied with all existing ordinances and requirements.

Alternatives:

1. Council may approve the application for a Gaming license

2. Council may deny the application for a Gaming license and provide direction to the City Manager

Recommended Motion:

I move to approve the application for a Gaming license for Sartini Gaming LLC dba 7-Eleven Store #20272D, located at 1620 EL Rancho Drive, Sparks, Nevada, contingent upon the location being inspected and approved by every city, county, district, and state agency having jurisdiction over the matter, and upon fingerprints being returned from the FBI that do not reflect any disqualifying arrests/convictions.
