In May of 2017, a City of Sparks employee driving a City vehicle was allegedly involved in a traffic collision with Matthew Wright. Mr. Wright and his wife, Micah Wright, sued the City and the employee for personal injuries and loss of consortium allegedly caused by the collision. Mr. Wright has offered to settle his claims for $100,000.00, and Mrs. Wright has offered to settle her loss of consortium claim for $10,000.00. The City Attorney recommends approval of both settlement agreements.
