Title: Consideration, discussion and possible approval of the Mayor's recommendation of appointment for a partial term to the Civil Service Commission from the following pool of applicants: Andrew Ngo.

Background:

The Civil Service Commission provides qualified applicants for employment and protects employees from discrimination or unfair treatment.

Analysis:

The City has one appointment to the Civil Service Committee, to fill a partial term through June 30, 2021.

Announcements were made at several recent meetings, and one application was submitted expressing interest in serving on the committee. Mayor Smith has communicated with the applicant and will announce his recommendation for appointment at the meeting. Council must confirm the appointment.

The Council could provide other direction.
