Background:
Announcement of a vacancy on the Washoe County District Board of Health was made at several council meetings in the fall of 2018.
Analysis:
The City of Sparks has one appointment to the Washoe County District Board of Health which protects and promotes public health and the environment. There is currently one vacancy for a term 01-14-2019 through 12-31-22.
Alternatives:
Council could give other direction.
Recommended Motion:
I move to confirm the appointment of John Novak to the Washoe County District Board of Health, for a 4-year term which expires December 31, 2022.
