Title: Consideration and possible approval of an application for a Gaming license for Mecca Lounge, located at 880 Holman Way, Suite #880, Sparks, NV 89434 submitted by Mr. Jeremy John Cronick

Recommendation: Recommendation: It is recommended that Council approve Mr. Cronick’s application for a Gaming license contingent upon the location being inspected and approved by every city, county, district, and state agency having jurisdiction over the matter and upon fingerprints being returned from the FBI/CJIS that do not reflect any disqualifying arrests/convictions.
Financial Impact: : $30.00 x 10 = $300 quarterly. There will be ten multi-denominational, bar-top slot machines.

Mr. Jeremy Cronick has submitted for consideration and possible approval, a Gaming license for Mecca Lounge.



Background:

Mr. Jeremy Cronick is applying for a Gaming license for Mecca Lounge.  Mr. Cronick has been a manager with Wild Orchid, located at 515 S. Virginia St, Reno, NV since October, 2010.  Prior to being a manager at Wild Orchid, Mr. Cronick worked in a bartender position for Dickey’s Barbecue Pit, from February, 2009 to July, 2012, located at Shoppers Square at 395 E. Plumb Ln, Reno, NV.  Mr. Jeremy Cronick was a deputy with the Washoe County Sheriff’s Department from June, 2007 to February, 2008.   From July, 1999 to June, 2007, Mr. Cronick was a Manager with MLSG Home Loans, located at 10615 Professional Cir, Reno, NV.



Analysis:

Mr. Cronick has complied with all existing ordinances and requirements.



Alternatives:

Council may approve or disapprove this application.



Recommended Motion:

I move to approve Mr. Cronick’s application for a Gaming license for the Mecca Lounge, located at  880 Holman Way, Suite #880, Sparks, NV contingent upon the location being inspected and approved by every city, county, district, and state agency having jurisdiction over the matter and upon fingerprints being returned from the FBI  that do not reflect any disqualifying arrests/convictions.
