Title: Consideration and possible approval of an application for a Gaming license for Giant Investments, LLC, dba Victorian Saloon located at 910 Victorian Ave., Sparks, NV submitted by Mr. John Eastwick.

Petitioner/Presenter: Mr. John Eastwick resides at 3701 Ranchview Court, Reno, NV 89509./Brian Allen, Chief of Police

Recommendation: It is recommended that Council approve Mr. John Eastwick’s application for a Gaming license contingent upon the location being inspected and approved by every city, county, district, and state agency having jurisdiction over the matter and upon fingerprints being returned from the FBI/CJIS that do not reflect any disqualifying arrests/convictions.

Financial Impact: $30.00 x 6 = $180.00 quarterly. There will be 6 Multi denomination coin operated video poker machines.

Mr. John Eastwick has submitted for consideration and possible approval, a Gaming license for Giant Investments, LLC, dba Victorian Saloon located at 910 Victorian Ave., Sparks, Nevada.

Background:

Mr. John Eastwick is applying for a Gaming License for Giant Investments, LLC dba Victorian Saloon, located at 910 Victorian Ave., Sparks, Nevada. The Gaming License at Victorian Saloon was previously held by Sartini Gaming, a slot route vendor. Giant Investments, LLC plans to take over the duties of operating and maintaining the gamine machines at Victorian Saloon.

Mr. Eastwick was an engineer in the Nevada Air Guard from September 1998 through September 2010. In April of 2007, Mr. Eastwick became an owner of Victorian Saloon and his ownership continues through today. The Nevada Gaming Commission approved Mr. Eastwick’s application for a Gaming License on January 21, 2011.

Analysis:

Mr. John Eastwick has complied with all existing ordinances and requirements.

Alternatives:

Council may approve or disapprove this application.

Recommended Motion:

I move to approve Mr. John Eastwick’s application for a Gaming license for Giant Investments, LLC dba Victorian Saloon, located at 910 Victorian Ave., Sparks, Nevada., contingent upon the location being inspected and approved by every city, county, district, and state agency having jurisdiction over the matter and upon fingerprints being returned from the FBI that do not reflect any disqualifying arrests/convictions.
