Title: Consideration and possible approval of an application for a Gaming license for Nevada Gaming Partners, LLC, dbat K-Mart Corporation Store #41511 located at 2125 Oddie Blvd., Sparks, NV submitted by Mr. Bruce Familian.

Recommendation: It is recommended that Council approve Mr. Bruce Familian application for a Gaming license contingent upon the location being inspected and approved by every city, county, district, and state agency having jurisdiction over the matter and upon fingerprints being returned from the FBI/CJIS that do not reflect any disqualifying arrests/convictions
Financial Impact: $30.00 x 15 = $450.00 quarterly. There will be 15 Multi denomination coin operated machines.

Mr. Bruce Familian has submitted for consideration and possible approval, a Gaming license for Nevada Gaming Partners, LLC, dbat K-Mart Corporation Store #41511 located at 2125 Oddie Blvd., Sparks, Nevada.



Background:

Mr. Bruce Familian is applying for a Gaming License for Nevada Gaming Partners, LLC, dbat K-Mart Corporation Store #41511 located at 2125 Oddie Blvd., Sparks, Nevada.  Mr. Familian  was the founder of the City Stop, Inc., which consisted of 11 convenience stores in Las Vegas.  Mr. Familian has sold the convenience stores, however he maintained ownership of City Stop, Inc.  Mr. Familian is also the owner/manager of Nevada City Partners, LLC, which currently consists of one convenience store, Desert Pit Stop.   In addition, Mr.  Familian owns/manages  Nevada Gaming Partners, which is a slot route vendor that installs slot products in  grocery stores, convenience stores, Laundromats, taverns and carwashes.  Mr. Familian also  supports local charities, including being actively involved on the Advisory Board for the Southern Nevada Special Olympics.



Analysis:

Mr. Bruce Familian has complied with all existing ordinances and requirements.



Alternatives:

Council may approve or disapprove this application.



Recommended Motion:

I move to approve Mr. Bruce Familian application for a Gaming license for Nevada Gaming Partners, LLC, dbat K-Mart Corporation Store #41511 located at 2125 Oddie Blvd., Sparks, Nevada, contingent upon the location being inspected and approved by every city, county, district, and state agency having jurisdiction over the matter and upon fingerprints being returned from the FBI that do not reflect any disqualifying arrests/convictions.
