BACKGROUND:

Announcement of vacancies on the Airport Noise Advisory Panel and the Washoe County District Board of Health was made at several council meetings in the fall of 2015.

AIRPORT NOISE ADVISORY PANEL – 2-YEAR TERM

The City of Sparks has up to three appointments to the Airport Noise Advisory Panel which assesses information on airport noise problems, assists in coordination between land use activities and the activities of the airport, and promotes greater communication regarding airport noise among the various public bodies. The term will begin with appointment and last 2 years. The complete pool of applicants being considered, in alphabetical order are: Shaun Carey, David Espinosa, Andrea Tavener and David Shocket.

Mayor Martini has recommended that David Shocket be appointed to the Airport Noise Advisory Panel, for a 2-year term which begins today, and expires December 31, 2017.
