Title: Consideration and possible approval of the Mayor's recommendation of appointment to the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority Board of Trustees from the following pool of applicants, listed in alphabetical order: Adam Mayberry, Shaun Carey.

Recommendation: That the Council confirm the Mayor's appointment to the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority Board of Trustees.

Background:

The City of Sparks has two appointments to the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority Board of Trustees. The term of one of these appointments expires on June 30, 2015.

An announcement of a vacancy on the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority Board of Trustees was made at the April and May council meetings.

Several people have submitted Community Service Applications expressing interest in serving on the board.

Mayor Martini has conducted brief interviews with the applicants and will announce his recommendation for appointment at the meeting. Council must confirm the appointment.

The appointment is for a 4 year term that will end on June 30, 2019. The complete pool of applicants being considered, in alphabetical order are: Adam Mayberry and Shaun Carey.

Mayor Martini will make his recommendation at the council meeting.
