Agenda Item Brief:

Consideration and possible approval of a change to the Employee Complement.



Background:

With the retirement of City Manager Shaun Carey, the decision has been made to remove the position of Assistant City Manager and add the position of Administrative Services Director.  This change will allow for the delegation of duties to more effectively utilize the City Manager time.



Analysis:

The Exectuve Resolution has been recommended to change to allow for the inclusion of the title of Administrative Services Director at a lesser pay rate than that of the Assistant City Manager.



Alternatives:

1.The City Council may approve the change to the Employee Complement as requested.

2. The City Council may not approve the change to the Employee Complement as requested.

3. The City Council may provide other direction to staff.



Recommended Motion:

I recommend approval of the change to the Employee Complement.
