Background: The City of Sparks has three Planning Commissioners who are appointed to serve on the Truckee Meadows Regional Planning Commission. Currently, Commissioners Tom Lean and Doug Voelz represent the City on the Regional Planning Commission. Commissioner Art Sperber’s appointment to the Regional Planning Commission to replace Ms. Jackie Peterson expired on June 30, 2014. The Mayor appoints Regional Planning Commissioners subject to confirmation by the City Council.
