Title: Consideration and possible approval of an application for a Gaming license for The Bullpen at Aspen Glen, Inc., located at 5215 Vista Boulevard, Sparks, NV 89436, submitted by Mr. Daniel Joseph Serafini.
Petitioner/Presenter: Mr. Daniel Joseph Serafini resides at 350 Harbour Cove, #101, Sparks, NV 89434/Chief Brian Allen
Recommendation: It is recommended that Council approve Mr. Serafini's application for a Gaming license contingent upon the location being inspected and approved by every city, county, district, and state agency having jurisdiction over the matter and upon fingerprints being returned from the FBI/CJIS that do not reflect any disqualifying arrests/convictions, and upon issuance of a Gaming license by Gaming Control Board.
Financial Impact: $120.00 x 13 = $1560.00 annually. There will be thirteen multiple denomination Poker/slot machines.

Background: Mr. Daniel Joseph Serafini is applying for a Gaming license for The Bullpen at Aspen Glen, Inc., the location which was formerly known as Aspen Glen Bar & Grill. Mr. Serafini has been a Major League Baseball pitcher from 1992 until he recently retired due to an injury. During his career, Mr. Serafini played on the Minnesota Twins, San Diego Padres, Pittsburgh Pirates, San Francisco Giants, and other teams. Most recently, Mr. Serafini was playing with the Naranjeros de Hermosillo in Cancun, Mexico when he was recently injured and decided to retire.

Analysis: Mr. Serafini has complied with all existing ordinances and requirements.

Alternatives: Council may approve or disapprove this application.

Recommended Motion: I move to approve Mr. Serafini's application for a Gaming license for The Bullpen at Aspen Glen, Inc., located at 5215 Vista Boulevard, Sparks, Nevada contingent upon the location being inspected and approved by every city, county, district, and state agency having jurisdiction over the matter and upon fingerprints being returned from the FBI that do not reflect any disqualifying arrests/convictions.
