Recommendation: Staff recommends approval of the 15th Street Alley Rehabilitation to Peavine Construction Inc., in the amount of $55,603.75
Financial Impact: This project will combine budget of $55,603.75 from two different CIP projects in fund 1401 Transportation Fund. $25,000 will come from FY13 approved CIP #130504 PMP Alley - Preventative (Currently available $32,275) $30,603.75 will come from FY13 approved CIP #130505 PMP Alley - Rehabilitation (Currently available $40,000)

Agenda Item Brief: The 15th Street Alley Rehabilitation includes removal and replacement of deteriorated asphalt pavement, grading and installing a concrete valley gutter.
Background: This proposed alley is part of the City’s Transportation System, Pavement Management Program maintenance plan. This alley has been identified and prioritized through the City’s Pavement Management System and will be the best use of our rehabilitation dollars.
Analysis:
Solicitation for bids was sent out on May 28, 2013. Two acceptable bids were received and opened on June 5, 2013. Below is a recap of the bids received:
- Engineers Estimate $60,000
- Peavine Construction $55,603.75
- WWW Construction $99,750
- Stampede Construction No Bid
Alternatives: 1. Council could approve the 15th Street Alley Rehabilitation as outlined above by staff. 2. Council could reject the 15th Street Alley Rehabilitation and direct staff further.
Recommended Motion: I move to approve the 15th Street Alley Rehabilitation Project to Peavine Construction, in the amount of $55,603.75
