Title: Consideration and possible approval of an application for a Gaming license for Affinity Gaming dba Plantation Investments, LLC dba Rail City Casino, located at 2121 Victorian Ave., Sparks, NV submitted by Mr. John Christopher Krabiel.

Recommendation: : It is recommended that Council approve Mr. Krabiel’s application for a Gaming license contingent upon the location being inspected and approved by every city, county, district, and state agency having jurisdiction over the matter and upon fingerprints being returned from the FBI/CJIS that do not reflect any disqualifying arrests/convictions.

Agenda Item Brief: Mr. John Christopher Krabiel has submitted for consideration and possible approval, a Gaming license for Affinity Gaming dba Plantation Investments, LLC dba Rail City Casino.
Background: Mr. John Christopher Krabiel is applying for a Gaming license for Affinity Gaming dba Plantation Investments, LLC dba Rail City Casino. Affinity Gaming serves as the parent holding Company for Plantation Investments, LLC, doing business as Rail City Casino. Affinity Gaming has interests in numerous casinos throughout the country, including three in the city of Reno, as well as California Prospectors, Ltd. for the CA Lottery. Mr. Krabiel has been the Vice President of Operations for Affinity Gaming since January, 2011. From August, 2004 until January, 2011, Mr. Krabiel was the Vice President of Operational Finance for Boyd Gaming, in Las Vegas, NV. From July, 2004 until August, 2004, Mr. Krabiel was the Controller for Tamarack Casino Junction in Reno, NV. From June, 2004 until July, 2004, Mr. Krabiel was the President of A&H Insurance in Reno, NV. Prior to that, he was employed as Vice President of Finance by Park Place Entertainment in Lake Tahoe, NV.
