Agenda Item Brief: EDAWN is requesting an annual contribution of $32,275.00. This represents a 3.0% increase over last year’s City contribution.
Background: Please refer to the funding request letter from Mr. Stan Thomas, Vice President of Business Development for EDAWN. A copy is attached to this staff report.
Analysis: This year’s request is the same as last year’s contribution in the amount of 32,275.00.
Alternatives: The City Council could approve the request as submitted. The City Council could deny the request as submitted. The City Council could choose to approve a different amount of funds.
Recommended Motion: I move to approve a contribution in the amount of $32,275.00 to the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada to Assist the Growth and Recovery of Sparks’ and the Greater Reno-Tahoe Economy.
