Title: Consideration of and possible approval of the Mayor's recommendation of the appointment of James Fewins to the Truckee Meadows Regional Planning Commission from the following potential appointees: Mary Brock, Scott Carey, James Fewins and James Gaba.

Background:

The City of Sparks has three Planning Commissioners who are appointed to serve on the Truckee Meadows Regional Planning Commission. Currently, Commissioners Frank Petersen, Art Sperber and Dian VanderWell represent the City on the Regional Planning Commission. Commissioner Sperber's term expires on June 30, 2017. Commissioner Sperber declined interest in reappointment to the Truckee Meadows Regional Planning Commission at the June 1, 2017 Sparks Planning Commission Meeting and has since resigned his position on the Sparks Planning Commission. The Sparks Planning Commission has recommended the appointment of James Fewins. Upon confirmation, Commissioner Fewins will serve a term beginning on July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2020.
