Agenda Item Brief:

Silverado VIllage 8, LLC paid sewer connection fees at 4127 Passage Dr. and 7044 Draco Dr. twice. This item proposes to refund duplicate charges.

Background:

Silverado Homes applied for permits A1601281 and A1601631 to construct new single family residences at 4127 Passage Dr. and 7044 Draco Dr. respectively. They were assessed the standard sewer connection fees. After issuance of the new permits, it was determined that the sewer connections had been established and paid with the issuance of construction trailer permits at both locations. Reference permits A0506779 and A0604170.

Analysis:

Reference Sparks Municipal Code section 15.05.107.7.1 - Refund of permit fees.The City Council may authorize the refunding of any fee paid hereunder which was erroneously paid or collected.

Alternatives:

City Council could deny the refund and provide direction.

Recommended Motion:

I move to approve a refund to Silverado Village 8, LLC in the amount of $11,356.14.
