Background:
The City of Sparks has three Planning Commissioners who are appointed to serve on the Truckee Meadows Regional Planning Commission. Currently, Commissioners Art Sperber and Dian VanderWell represent the City on the Regional Planning Commission. Commissioner Tom Lean recently retired as a Sparks Planning Commissioner creating a vacancy on the Regional Planning Commission. The Sparks Planning Commission has recommended the appointment of Frank Petersen to fill the vacancy through June 30, 2019.
