Financial Impact: Within Courts current budget; increasing cost to $150.00 for morning session, $150.00 for afternoon session or a total of $300.00 for a full day

Agenda Item Brief:

The Court is requesting approval of the Judge Pro Tempore list for the calendar year 2017.

*The Court is increasing the cost to $150.00 for the morning session, $150.00 for the afternoon session or $300.00 for the full day. This increase is within the court’s budget and is consistent with the other courts in our jurisdiction.

Background:

Pro Tempore Judges are utilized by the Municipal Court in the event that a Judge is unavailable to hear matters due to illness, vacation, mandatory judicial training, and attendance at judicial conferences and/or recusal for a case. Pro Tempore Judges are necessary to fulfill the legal requirement of case processing and timely disposition. This recommendation establishes a list of Pro Tempore Judges for the calendar year 2017.
