Consideration and possible award of a contract for the renovation of the volleyball court at Golden Eagle Park to a multiuse concrete court to Peek Construction, in the amount of 94,327.00.
Background:
The sand volleyball court that is located within Golden Eagle Regional Park is causing problems with the natural turf as well as the synthetic turf. The sand is blowing on to the turfs and creating maintenance issues. Replacing volleyball court with a concrete slab will give Parks and Recreation more play value and no further maintenance issues.
Analysis:
Three bids were collected and Peek is the low bidder. Anchor concrete and Aspen Developers both submitted bids. The total cost of this project is 94,327.00 dollars.
Alternatives:
1. City Council could approve the award of the contract for this project to Peek Construction in the amount of 94,327.00 as outlined by staff.
2. City Council could reject the award of the contract for this project to Peek Construction in the amount of 94,327.00 and provide direction to the City Manager .
Recommended Motion:
I move to award the contract (AC-5124) for the renovation of the volleyball court at Golden Eagle Park to a multiuse concrete court to Peek Construction, in the amount of 94,327.
