Agenda Item Brief: This item will allow the City Council to formally support a concept that the Governor has initiated to provide added support and advocacy for the Veternas of the state of Nevada.

Background: Councilman Ron Smith has requested that the Mayor and Sparks City Council discuss and consider supporting the Resolution No. 3252 that provides formal support to the Governor and the Director of Military and Veterans Policy for the creation of Veteran Comissions at the local level to advocate and support our veterans who live within our communitites. Director Caleb Cage will be on hand to address the matter before the Mayor and Council.
