Project: On-Call Snow and Debris Removal

Description: The City of Sparks has approved and adopted an Emergency Snow Removal and alternate Declared Emergency Incident Plan. This policy sets forth street priorities for snow removal and treatment of icy street surfaces by the City of Sparks Streets Division or other emergency public safety situations. In the event the City would experience a storm or has a declared emergency condition that is beyond the heavy duty transportation capabilities of the City, we are establishing an on call list of local contractors that may provide these services. Additionally, the City may seek to use the same services and associated equipment to assist in debris removal activities following a flood, earthquake or other natural disaster requiring such services. This RFQ is intended to secure a listing of private contractors having equipment and employees that could be hired at pre-determined rates to work in conjunction with City staff and equipment under the direction of Community Services Staff.
